Flight HV5109 from Valencia to Eindhoven

Summary

On Sunday evening, January 14, flight HV5108, from Valencia to Eindhoven, returned to Valencia shortly after takeoff. The reason for this was an indication of smoke development and possible fire in the baggage hold. In accordance with safety procedures, the crew immediately returned to the Spanish airport to make a precautionary landing.

All passengers and crew left the aircraft safely. They were accommodated in accommodations and flew to Eindhoven on Monday morning with another aircraft.

What exactly happened is still being investigated. The aircraft was inspected by the fire brigade and there appears to have been no fire.
