Further adjustment of voucher policy

Summary

Transavia is adjusting its voucher policy. For flights that Transavia was forced to cancel from March 15, passengers will still have the option to opt for a refund of their ticket(s). This was already possible for flights canceled after June 4. The current and unprecedented COVID-19 crisis has created an exceptional situation for airlines and their customers. Since the start of this crisis, Transavia has therefore initially opted for the vouchers as compensation for passengers whose flights were cancelled.

Recent developments in the situation surrounding COVID-19 and the continued lifting of quarantine measures provide more and more opportunities to fly again. In July and August, a large part of the flight schedule will be operated again and a large number of destinations will be flown. Next week it will be announced which destinations and flights Transavia will operate in July and August.

For that reason and because of the European Commission's decision not to change the policy despite the magnitude of the COVID-19 crisis, Transavia has decided to adjust the refund policy. This means that all passengers who were faced with a canceled flight after March 15 will still have the option to opt for a ticket refund.

Vouchers

Given the scale of this crisis and the enormous number of cancellations, it will take some time before the refund is given. We are working hard behind the scenes to ensure that our customers who receive or have received a voucher can also request a refund via the website. The most frequently asked questions are also listed there . The conditions for the vouchers remain the same: they are equal to the total value of the booking, including any additional options booked.

Transavia thanks its customers for their understanding and patience in these exceptional circumstances and is pleased that many passengers have already used the voucher for their next trip.
