Transavia adds Tromsø to network for winter 2023/24
From December 1, 2023 to April 1, 2024, Transavia will fly twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays, to the destination Tromsø in northern Norway. The flights are offered with departure from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The flight duration is 3 hours and 15 minutes.
About 10 years ago, Transavia set sail for Northern Norway in collaboration with Voigt Travel. At the time, this joint charter was the first in Europe to fly directly to this destination. Since then, Northern Norway has remained an important destination.
The collaboration between Scandinavia specialists Voigt Travel and Buro Scanbrit ensures that Transavia will also include the destination Tromsø in its network next winter. What is new is that in addition to package holidays via Voigt Travel and Buro Scanbrit, you can now also book flight tickets directly with Transavia to this beautiful winter destination.
“We are very pleased that through our collaboration with Transavia we are making the North of Norway even more accessible to the Dutch market. An important destination for us for many years with a lot of potential,” says Marloes Meijer, general manager of Voigt Travel.
Tromsø is best known to people who want to see the Northern Lights. The location of the city makes it the perfect place to experience the natural phenomenon. This impressive natural spectacle can only be seen in the Arctic region. In addition, Tromsø is the northernmost student city in Europe, surrounded by the fjords. Furthermore, the surrounding regions such as Senja, Lofoten and Finnish Lapland, with Kilpisjärvi, are now also easily accessible.
“Thanks to the vision of Voigt Travel and Buro Scanbrit and our many years of good cooperation, we can add Tromsø to our winter destinations. With this destination, we can also offer the adventurous winter enthusiast a unique experience," says Marcel de Nooijer, general manager of Transavia.
Flight tickets to Tromsø can be booked from April 26, 2023.
