Transavia focuses on Generation Z with its YouTube channel

Summary

Today Transavia is launching its new YouTube channel, on which new videos are posted weekly. With this channel, Transavia wants to appeal to generation Z, who use YouTube intensively. The aim is to inform, entertain and make them enthusiastic about flying with Transavia. The videos often spotlight airline employees. They know Transavia like no other and play the leading role in many formats.

Generation Z

Generation Z spends a lot of time on YouTube, more than on traditional media such as television and radio. YouTube is their search engine. By making it clear who Transavia is through the web series, the airline wants to increase its brand preference among Generation Z in the long term. “With the Transavia YouTube channel we increase our bond with Generation Z and show that we are an accessible airline for everyone,” says Erik-Jan Gelink, commercial director at Transavia.

YouTube series with Transavia employees

You will soon be able to follow no fewer than five exciting, informative and entertaining web series on the Transavia YouTube channel. They get a glimpse into the world of Transavia. The campaign kicks off with the 'Bucketlist Hunt' in which four well-known YouTubers (Tony Junior, Sophie Milzink, Marije van der Made and Nesim Najih) play the leading roles.

Transavia employees play the leading role in the other four web series. They can shine on YouTube and are given a platform to proudly talk about their work and about Transavia. Gelink: “We believe in the distinctive power of our own people. They know Transavia like no other. In many formats, colleagues play the leading role.”

In order to respond more quickly to current events with video content, Transavia has set up an in-house studio. With the exception of the Bucket List Hunt, all productions are made here. In the future, Transavia will create even more in-house video content to increase brand preference among Generation Z.
