Transavia inaugurates its first flight to Granada
Transavia launched its first flight from Amsterdam to Granada, Spain on Monday. Starting at the end of September, flights will operate twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays.
Passengers on the inaugural flight were treated to a taste of Spanish culture with flamenco dancers prior to departure. Flamenco, a vital part of Spanish culture, originated in the Andalusia region, where Granada is located. Since 2010, it has been recognized as UNESCO intangible cultural heritage.
Before the flight, Marcel de Nooijer, CEO of Transavia, and Francisco Rodriguez, President of the Provincial Council of Granada, symbolically cut a ribbon together to officially inaugurate the new route.
