Transavia launches Fly Again Bag: liquid bag made from old life jackets
Transavia is introducing a new circular product on board: the Fly Again Bag, a 1-liter liquid bag made from discarded life jackets. Instead of destroying them, Transavia is giving the high-quality material a second life. This marks a new step in the airline's circular ambitions.
Before production, the life jackets are carefully disassembled, after which almost all components are given a new purpose. For example, the recognizable drawstring used to inflate the life jacket returns as a zipper pull on the Fly Again Bag. The transparent film is made from upcycled residual materials. Only the eco-certified zipper is new. Four to six liquid bags can be made from one life jacket. Residual materials are used as much as possible in other products and otherwise recycled.
The Fly Again Bag directly aligns with Transavia's circular objectives: reducing residual waste and keeping valuable raw materials in the supply chain.

The Fly Again Bag will be available for purchase on board in a limited edition for €25 from December 1st.
