Transavia offers five additional destinations from Rotterdam

Today, Transavia is putting five additional routes on sale from Rotterdam The Hague Airport. Passengers can now also book tickets from Rotterdam for Venice, Pisa, Valencia, Pula and Bergerac. This brings the total number of destinations that the airline flies from Rotterdam to 22.

Sixth Boeing 737 in Rotterdam
To operate these flights, Transavia will station a sixth Boeing 737 at its Rotterdam home port from April. Erik-Jan Gelink, commercial director of Transavia; “We are happy that we can grow from Rotterdam. With an additional device, type 737-700, we can serve this region better."
 
Bergerac is back with a vengeance
By bringing back the Bergerac destination, Transavia is responding to a long-cherished wish of passengers from this region. “We have received a lot of questions from customers who would like to see Bergerac again from Rotterdam,” says Erik-Jan Gelink. “From the beginning of April, passengers can travel to Bergerac and back as many as five times a week.”

Spain and Italy
Valencia is gaining popularity with both business and leisure travelers and will therefore be served four times a week from April, in addition to the daily flights from Amsterdam and Eindhoven. With Venice and Pisa, Transavia now flies from three Italian cities to Rotterdam. Many Italians already fly to Rotterdam from Rome. It is a popular destination and Venice and Pisa are both served four times a week.

Eastern Europe on the map
In addition to Split, Transavia also flies twice a week to Pula in Croatia during the summer peak. “We see demand for Eastern Europe increasing. From the Netherlands we now offer three destinations in Croatia (Dubrovnik, Split and Pula) and this spring we will also start routes to Serbia, Poland, Slovenia, Albania and Bulgaria from Amsterdam. We do this to offer the broadest possible network within Europe for our passengers,” says Gelink.

Eighteen new summer destinations
Transavia will add eighteen new destinations to the network this summer; three from Rotterdam The Hague Aiport, one from Eindhoven Airport and fourteen from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Given the limited growth opportunities of the airport, Transavia has a number of fewer frequencies than desired at Amsterdam.
