Transavia offers new summer destinations in 2019

The summer holidays are over. A good tip to avoid a holiday slump is to look ahead and plan a new holiday. By delving into a new destination, you shift your focus to something beautiful ahead. This summer, Transavia will offer more than 70 destinations, including no fewer than six new summer destinations. Brindisi, Tangier, Zadar and Nador are added from Rotterdam/The Hague Airport. The cities of Beirut (from Schiphol) and Krakow (from Eindhoven) are also new to the schedule. Transavia's summer schedule starts on April 1 and runs until October 31, 2019. Tickets can be booked from September 18.

“We are strongly committed to growth by optimizing the current network,” says Erik-Jan Gelink, commercial director of Transavia. “Just like last year, we are adding two new aircraft to our fleet, increasing our capacity by approximately 300,000 passengers. We will mainly fly more to popular Southern European destinations. We are also expanding in Morocco with additional flights to Marrakech, Al Hoceima, Tangier and Nador.”

Croatia is hot

More and more Dutch people are finding their way to versatile Croatia.
In addition to Dubrovnik, Pula, Rijeka and Split, Transavia will fly to Zadar next summer. Zadar is one of the most beautiful cities in Croatia, but a lot quieter than Dubrovnik and Split. The city is a true open-air museum. And just outside the center you can enjoy the beach. The addition of Zadar to Transavia's destinations makes it even easier to combine city and beach.

Beirut, Nador and Krakow

The flights to Beirut, Nador and Krakow, which were operated for the first time this winter, will also be served in the summer next year. Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, is a city with a rich history. The center is characterized by narrow, pleasant streets with shops, restaurants and nightclubs. In the summer, the entire coastline of Beirut is a large promenade with several beach clubs.

Nador is an authentic port city in Morocco, free from mass tourism. You will find small local hotels and restaurants where you can taste the diverse Moroccan cuisine full of flavors and aromas. Krakow in Poland is a fantastic city trip destination for those who love the combination of culture and history. From Wawel Castle to the former Auschwitz concentration camp.

Brindisi and Tangier

The port city of Brindisi is located in the heel of Italy, in the Puglia region. If you like pure and refined Italian cuisine, fine Italian wines and Greek and Roman history in combination with sun and beach, the entire Puglia region is a fantastic base.

Tangier in Northern Morocco is one of the oldest cities in Morocco and is also called the White City. The city is multicultural with Muslim, Christian and Jewish communities. Writers, artists and musicians have been attracted to this vibrant and colorful city for years.
