Cairo fourth Egyptian destination for Transavia

Summary

From 27 October 2025, Transavia will fly three times a week from Amsterdam to Cairo. This will make Cairo the fourth destination in Egypt within the network, alongside Hurghada, Sharm el Sheikh and Marsa Alam. The flights are on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays and can be booked from now on.

New destination for sun, culture and family visits
Cairo is a large and vibrant city, famous for the Pyramids of Giza, the Egyptian Museum and the new Grand Egyptian Museum, which will open soon. The city is attractive for those looking for sun, culture and history, but also for those visiting family or friends.

Egypt has been popular with holidaymakers for years, especially in the winter months. The country is known for its guaranteed sunshine, rich culture and good value for money.

In addition to the new route from Amsterdam, Transavia France also flies to Cairo, with departures from Paris-Orly, Lyon and Marseille. This makes the Egyptian capital easily accessible from several European cities.

Continued demand for air travel
In addition, Transavia will increase capacity on several routes in the winter of 2025/2026. Amsterdam–Rabat will go from two to three flights per week, and Amsterdam–Agadir will also remain available with three weekly flights. New is the route between Brussels and Agadir, also three times a week. In addition, Transavia will fly to the Greek island of Crete for the entire winter for the first time. Due to the continuing demand, there will also be extra flights to popular destinations in Spain and Portugal, among others.

The Airbus A321neo is being used on more and more flights. This aircraft is quieter, more economical and offers more seats on board compared to the Boeing 737-800. This allows Transavia to offer more airline tickets per flight and efficiently respond to the growing demand.
