Fleet
Transavia is replacing its entire Boeing 737 fleet with the modern, quieter and more efficient Airbus A321neo and the smaller A320neo. These new aircraft consume less fuel, emit up to 15% less CO₂ and generate over 50% less noise during take-off and landing.
On 19 December 2023, Transavia introduced its first Airbus A321neo. On 5 January 2024, the first passenger flight followed, from Amsterdam to Pisa. Since then, the fleet renewal has been in full swing. Transavia aims to complete the transition by 2031.

Phase-out
In 2024, Transavia began phasing out the Boeing 737. The first aircraft was PH-XRY, a 737-700 nicknamed the ‘cigar band’ due to its old livery. On 5 November it flew to Twente Airport, where AELS dismantled it in a circular process. Parts will be reused in aviation, materials recycled, and the engines returned to Transavia. This supports the ambition to reduce residual waste by 80% by 2030. The entire process was captured in a three-part YouTube series.
