Over the past few days, we have thoroughly investigated whether it is possible to resume our route to Dubai within the applicable safety advice, which we must follow without exception. At present, the Dubai airport authority can only allocate slot positions at times that are not in accordance with the applicable safety advice, which means that it is not safe or responsible to operate the flight. For this reason, we are forced to cancel our flights 48 hours prior to departure if the safety advice remains unchanged.

Passengers will be informed at least 48 hours in advance if their flight is cancelled and will receive a refund or have the option to rebook.

We are continuously monitoring the situation and the applicable safety advice. As soon as the safety advice in the region changes for the better and it is possible to operate flights within these parameters, we will resume our flights within 48 hours. As always, the safety of our crew and passengers is our top priority.

Due to the geopolitical situation, Transavia is currently not flying through the airspace of several countries in the Gulf region, as a precautionary measure. This means that Transavia has cancelled flights to Dubai until Wednesday 28 January. After that, a daily assessment will be made as to whether this flight route can be resumed. The safety of our crew and passengers is always our top priority.

Passengers whose flights have been cancelled have been informed. We realise that this is extremely inconvenient for those affected. Passengers will be rebooked onto the next available Transavia flight. They can also rebook themselves onto another airline. Transavia will reasonably reimburse any price difference and any costs incurred for care. Passengers who choose not to travel can request a full refund.
